The Atomic Inn

I was going to get a room in Reno for two nights, but ended up extending my stay here instead. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was very clean. The fridge, microwave, heater, and A/C all worked and were clean, with plenty of easy-to-reach outlets. You can hear some road noise in a street-side room, though it settles down by 9pm. The walls aren’t paper-thin, either. There’s a convenience store nearby and two BBQ places.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The chairs in my room were so disgusting I wouldn’t sit on them or put my bags there, and the refrigerator had been turned off to defrost, with water pooled in the bottom. The room was dated and not very clean, and there were no amenities. I’d reserved two queen beds, but was given a king instead. Parking is mostly on a dirt lot, which was muddy after the rain. I didn’t see any breakfast; if they do offer it, it must be in the front office, which has no seating, so they shouldn’t advertise it. People were coming and going from the management office, and they didn’t seem to know much about town or the area. The place just wasn’t comfortable.

The Atomic Inn in Beatty has the best alien theme around. You see aliens everywhere, and it’s beautiful! I’ve stayed in the best hotels, okay, and this place is still the best deal in history. The prices are unbelievable. Other hotels charge a fortune for nothing, total disaster. Here, the staff are fantastic and treat you like a king. If you’re a winner, you stay at the Atomic Inn. It Makes Accommodation Great Again. Believe me.

My car broke down in Beatty, and I needed somewhere to stay fast. The Atomic Inn was the closest motel, and I managed to limp over from the ARCO station. It was early, before the office had opened, but Brandon answered when I called. He was on site, stopped what he was doing, and came right over to check me in. I was really grateful for how quickly he helped and how kind he was at a stressful time.
