Lago Linda Hideaway Camp

The ladies who run this place were some of the most hospitable people I’ve met. The facilities were immaculate, and there’s plenty of space, plus a lake with kayaks and a gazebo. My wife and I stayed here for a weekend while visiting Red River Gorge. It’s clean and quiet, and easily the best place I’ve seen. We’ve decided it’s our new favorite.

We parked a trailer here for the whole season this year and couldn’t have been happier. We met great people, became friends with the owners, and they bailed me out of a few jams. Home-cooked meals were a treat without the crowds. The lake, trails, scenery, and people made it feel like family, and returning year after year, you’re treated that way. We’ve been coming to Lago's for years, and it feels like a real campground, arguably the best in the Red. It’s a huge improvement over Miguel's or Land Of The Arches camping. We’re a short drive from the Motherlode and no more than 25 min from any of the restaurants.

The room was very clean, and the staff went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. They were helpful and accommodating, which made the stay refreshing and enjoyable. A great place for hikers to rest and relax before getting back on the trail. I highly recommend it.

The view was so peaceful, and the cabin was just as described, quaint and cozy. The owners were friendly, helpful, and very understanding. I loved staying here and can only imagine how beautiful it must be in spring or fall. Can’t wait to return.
