Beaufort Hotel NC

The location on Taylor’s Creek is lovely, and downtown Beaufort is about a five-minute drive away. Inside and out, the hotel is attractive. We had a nicely equipped room with a big bathroom and an enormous shower. The front desk team was pleasant and helpful, and we enjoyed both the restaurant food and its service. I had a great two-night visit and will be back.

We love the lobby, fireplace, and restaurant, and the lobby looks especially lovely at Christmas. We’ve stayed here several times and keep enjoying the views, clean rooms and bathrooms, and great food. The front desk and restaurant teams have been wonderful, especially the restaurant staff, who are so friendly and accommodating. Beaufort Hotel is a great choice for the area. A couple of small changes would improve things. The outdoor glass on the room porches could use a quick salt wipe before guests arrive. And please consider changing the restaurant music: it was so loud and awful that it put a damper on our meal, and I couldn’t even tell what genre it was. The coffee in the room was lackluster, so we went down to the lobby at 6 AM for theirs. K-cup machines or much better room coffee would help. There’s free parking in a lot about a five-minute walk away, which works in good weather if you’d rather skip valet.

The on-site restaurant was excellent, and the staff were warm and kind. The hotel was clean and inviting, though the location was just okay. We paid quite a bit extra for a water-view room, but our view was of a boat dock on a narrow channel. It was a good stay, but I wouldn’t make a trip to the area just for this hotel.

The hotel's seasonal ice-skating rink was a charming surprise, especially for families, and the grounds were beautifully kept. We found the interiors airy and relaxed, with natural light balancing modern style and coastal tradition. Our room was very clean and well equipped, and the bathroom and wide water views were especially peaceful and restorative. Service was attentive overall, though during the holiday rush a couple of our calls to the front desk went unanswered. We also heard some hallway noise and a few muffled thumps from above, which seemed odd on the top floor, but they didn’t disturb our sleep. We arrived a little early, and the front desk associate who checked us in, whose name may have been Valencia or Veronica, we’re not sure, kindly made an early check-in possible. Our first phone interaction with her had already felt warm and welcoming. The valet attendant was exceptionally friendly and efficient, too. We decided not to use valet, but it was reassuring to have the option, and there was an easy-to-reach charging station nearby where we parked. It was a refined but comfortable stay, and our family would gladly return to The Beaufort Hotel in Beaufort, North Carolina.
