We stayed at an Airbnb called The Aspens, within walking distance of the village, the weekend before Christmas. Snow has been sparse this year so far, but the village was still fun whether you ski or not. It’s beautifully decorated for the holidays, and we love the ice rink in the middle. There are lots of restaurants, ski shops and stores, plus pop-up bars for an outdoor drink. Getting to the slopes is easy, and there are plenty of restaurants there where you can watch skiers or take a break after skiing. If you’re staying in Beaver Creek, the free Village Connect shuttles are easy to use: book one or hop on and off. They run early until midnight, and the drivers are so nice. Drivers should park at the Gerald Ford parking garage. One small tip: Google Maps can struggle to figure out which floor a place is on, so it may turn you around a bit.

That fountain is a fun little water show, with different patterns. Beaver Creek Village is also an easy place to wander around or grab a bite or a drink. There’s plenty to browse, from restaurants and bars to art galleries, jewelry and home decor shops, plus an ice rink.

We had a lovely time wandering among the fall colors with hot chocolate. It’s a nice place to stroll, though a lot of the shops and restaurants were closed for the off-season.

Even in the off-season there was plenty to see and do, with lots of restaurants still open, though some places were closed. Parking is limited up in the village, so it’s much easier to leave the car in the lot below and take the shuttle up. There’s a neat center that sometimes hosts concerts. When we visited, they were getting ready to decorate a huge Christmas tree, probably 200 ft tall.

My daughter had a blast here. Such a lovely place!
