Lotus by Hotel Inn

This is my second stay while traveling between Southern California and Montana. It’s an older, basic motel and a bit dated, but the room is spacious, clean, quiet, safe, and reasonably priced. Check-in was very friendly, and I’m confident they’d try to sort out any problems. The sheets were clean, there were no odd smells, the AC was quiet and cold, and the shower was clean and hot. I wouldn’t choose it to impress my wife or for a luxurious modern hotel, but for budget travel it’s a great option. Booking a cheaper place on the road can be a gamble, and here I know I’ll get a comfortable, clean room without spending too much.

For the price, this is a very good deal if you’re okay with basic accommodations and some old, dingy, but clean fixtures. The staff are pretty nice, though their English isn’t very good. We had three adults in a double queen room. When I asked for a third set of towels, I got another bath towel, but was told there was only one pair of washcloths per room. We’d requested a non-smoking room with no pets, and ours was surprisingly clean, so we left a tip for the housekeeper. We saw plenty of other guests, and it looks like they have rooms for pets and smokers. For what it is, a one-star motel, I’d give the Lotus five stars.

We only needed a room for a long travel day, and this place did the job. The gentleman who checked us in on April 26, 2024 was friendly and had a great attitude. The outside of the Lotus Motel in Beaver doesn’t look like much, but inside, the rooms seemed recently updated, with nice flooring and other good touches. We even paid less than the rate I’d booked online. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next drive through this beautiful area.

I stayed one night while passing through, and this was a perfectly reasonable place for someone who doesn’t need anything fancy. The owner was friendly, parking was included, and WiFi was available. My bed was made up with clean sheets, and the room was clean overall. There was some peeling paint in the bathroom, but it was functional and clean too. No breakfast or anything like that is offered.
