Diona, the Director of Sales, made a stressful last-minute stay possible when a winter storm disrupted my housing during a military move from Maryland. She was incredibly kind and professional, and I was so relieved to have her help. The hotel itself is clean and modern, with a well-kept pool and gym. I liked the self-serve beer taps in the lobby, and the breakfast was tasty and kept stocked by attentive staff. I didn’t get to try the golf simulator, but it looked state-of-the-art, so I’m hoping to use it next time. The place felt like a warm, safe haven. I’d recommend it to my family visiting and to other service members.

Angie, Shaheem, and Jaya were all kind and helped with whatever we needed. We also enjoyed the beer taps, breakfast, golf simulator, pool, gym, and other amenities. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and really clean. The hotel was a perfect fit for our visit, and we’ll be back.

We were traveling home to IL with our two toddlers and stayed overnight. The staff were so friendly, and they upgraded our room because my husband is a Marriott Bonvoy member. The room was spotless and roomy, with a comfortable bed, modern bathroom, and a full kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, fridge, microwave, and sink. The LVP and carpet floors were clean, and the whole hotel smelled fresh. The Christmas decorations made it feel extra cozy. Breakfast had a good range of choices, from smoothies, waffles, muffins and danishes to protein options, oatmeal, coffee, and juice. The person looking after the breakfast area was sweet and attentive. There are plenty of places to eat and shop just minutes away. We’re already planning a longer stay in warmer weather so we can use the pool and golf simulation lounge. Highly recommend.

The hotel is clean, nice, and brand new, and the breakfast is good. The problem is the staff. They’re extremely rude and unprofessional, especially if you’re from the Dayton area and trying to use an Explore rate. The sales director is the worst of them. If you’re a person of color using the Explorer form, they’ll refuse your stay and call the police to have you permanently trespassed from the property. If you’re from Dayton, staying here is a waste of time. Go to another Marriott in the area.

I’ve generally found Marriott staff welcoming, but this call was the opposite. Around 11am-12pm on 2/13/2026, I called asking for the GM. The woman who identified herself as the assistant manager wouldn’t put her on, and spoke to me rudely and dismissively. I explained that my card was being charged for a reservation I’d cancelled. She immediately asked for my Explore form ID, something no one had asked me for before, despite my being a platinum elite member. I offered my Bonvoy number, which I use to book, and said I could provide other details to find the reservation. She insisted on the Explore ID and ended the conversation by saying there was nothing else to discuss if I wouldn’t give it. When I said I’d report her unprofessional conduct to corporate, she hung up. I tried several times to reach Diona the GM afterward, but nobody answered. Then I got an email saying that because I’d threatened to report the property to corporate, they wouldn’t honor any Explore rate reservations under my name. It quoted the Explore Form policy about appropriate conduct and the possible consequences of misconduct, including reporting it to the sponsoring associate’s employer, loss of discount privileges, and termination. I hadn’t threatened to report the property, I was calling about the woman’s behavior. I was patient throughout, and wouldn’t want to stay there with someone who talks to people that way. I called another Marriott and spoke with its GM. From what I was told and from the reviews I read, this location regularly treats people poorly when they use Explore forms, and isn’t friendly to people booking from the area. I wondered if she asked for my Explore ID first because she wanted to ruin my discount. Don’t give these people your Explore ID numbers. I was traveling from Florida, and this woman is giving Marriott a bad name, even though Marriott has otherwise been great to me and my family.
