My husband was banned from this motel after a terrible incident, and we won’t support Best Western Motels anymore. We’d stayed at this location for 40 years, both on our own and through its contract with the VA, without any problems until this past month. My husband, a 79-year-old disabled veteran and cancer patient, was staying alone. When the maid knocked, he answered wearing sweatpants and nothing else. He tried to catch her, but the door locked behind him, and she wouldn’t unlock it. He used a phone in a room she’d left open to call the front desk. He had to wait for the manager, who let him back in very rudely and basically called him an idiot for locking himself out. I’ve read the motel policy and couldn’t find anything saying a maid can’t unlock the door after watching someone come out. Afterward, he was banned. This motel treated a veteran the way he was treated when he came home from Vietnam. Shame on them.

We stay here when we have doctors’ appointments, and it’s easy to check in. The breakfast is amazing, the place is super clean, and the staff are friendly. We especially appreciate that it’s easier to be away from home with our young child, who has disabilities.

The room was comfortable, but a porch light directly across from it was so bright that I had to close both sets of drapes. I would have liked to leave at least one open. I also asked a young man at the front desk for a wake-up call, but it never came.

Mark at the front desk was great. I arrived very late after a long flight, exhausted, and he greeted me enthusiastically. When I couldn’t find my room, I came back to the desk and he kindly walked me right to it. I was in Beaverton for a family visit and stayed at the motel for six days. The location worked very well for my trip, and breakfast was excellent, with great coffee. I didn’t use housekeeping because I put a No Disturb sign on my door, so I can’t comment on that. The room met my needs, though I could only get one TV channel. I’d stay again on my next family visit. One thing to know, there are no elevators for guests with mobility issues.

The rooms are clean and spacious, and there’s a beautiful fountain outside by the pool and Jacuzzi.
