Candlewood Suites Bedford Fort Worth by IHG

For a long layover at DFW, this was convenient, and the area around it is pleasant and quiet. Our room was clean and well maintained, with comfortable beds, a not-too-noisy A/C, a TV, and a mini kitchen. We liked having the living room separate from the bedroom. Coffee and tea are available, though there isn't breakfast. Some upkeep is due, especially around the bathroom tile grout or caulk, and there were small holes in the carpet or furniture. The front desk was mixed: the man working when we arrived late after several DFW cancellations wouldn't acknowledge our reservation and hung up on us. We had to use the app to confirm the room. The woman who took over was friendly, helpful, and efficient. I'd recommend it for a short stay.

The check-in service was great, and everyone we dealt with was welcoming and friendly. The room worked fine, but the Candlewood Suites is clearly older than other locations I've visited. The furniture, carpet, general look, and especially the TV could use an update. It wasn't a terrible stay, though the property shows its age beside newer or renovated Candlewood Suites.

Taiyon at reception made us feel welcome and was very kind. David was just as helpful and friendly when he answered my call. The hotel seems somewhat dated right now, though I expect it may improve after its recent move from Marriott to IHG. I wish there were more room choices, since they currently only have queen rooms. I was happy with my stay.
