DoubleTree by Hilton Boston - Bedford Glen

We only had one night here, but it was one of the best hotels we stayed at around Boston. The building is big and fancy, and everything was very clean. At check-in, the front desk woman was extremely friendly and offered us warm cookies and bottled water. Our room was quiet, with comfortable beds and soft pillows, and the spacious, fancy bathroom was clean too. It felt like the rooms kept out sound from nearby rooms. There wasn’t complimentary breakfast, though I didn’t mind much. I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it. I just wish we could’ve stayed longer.

The room had a couple of problems: the toilet barely flushed, and the shower wouldn’t drain. We had to stop the water about every minute to let the tub empty. They also didn’t bring towels after we asked. The staff were polite, and the hotel was pretty clean and nice, but I probably wouldn’t return. Still, it wasn’t the worst stay.

We came back to Massachusetts for a wedding this weekend but couldn’t get a room, so book early. My boyfriend and I had stayed here for a weekend in August and loved it. The views were beautiful, the bed and pillows were really comfortable, and housekeeping was wonderful. Michael at the front desk was awesome, and the chef and restaurant staff were great too. I have a food allergy, and they understood how serious it is and went out of their way to accommodate me. The place was clean, the employees were friendly, and the complimentary snacks and cookies were a nice extra. Their cookies are the best!

The breakfast buffet was excellent, though you pay extra for it, and the lobby and staff were nice. The room was clean and in good order, with nice toiletries, but the water pressure was a bit low and the fixtures felt dated. The pool was nice. It’s a little odd that you have to pass through the pool area to reach the tennis academy in the building, since parents sit by the pool while waiting for their kids to finish tennis.
