Candlewood Suites Aberdeen-Bel Air by IHG

Colleen was the best part of our latest stay. She’s new at the front desk, professional, kind, and welcoming, and her manners really deserve recognition. My husband and I come here for short getaways, but at this location we rarely get greeted when we arrive or leave, unlike at other IHG properties. Colleen’s warmth made a real difference. Great job, Colleen!

I stayed for two weeks and the room worked for what I needed. There were deer outside my window, which was nice, though a nearby light shone into the room. The front desk team was amazing, and when my room needed repairs, they took care of them. I did have a few issues, so it was a mixed experience, but the room itself was good.

We came back for a family funeral, and the hotel has changed a lot since our visit almost a year ago. The rooms have all been updated enough, and the place looks fantastic. The staff were phenomenal, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I’d highly recommend this solid hotel.

I’ve stayed here several times, usually for at least two days while visiting friends nearby. The WiFi is still very weak, and the TV has few channels with no Netflix or other streaming apps. There’s no input option on the remote, either, so you can’t connect your own device to stream. My Labor Day weekend stay was peaceful, and the maid service was good. Colleen at the front desk deserves five stars: she greets you kindly and checks in as you pass. She made me feel welcome, which I didn’t get from everyone else. It’d be nice if all the staff said hello and acknowledged guests walking by.
