I’m so glad the Thomas Motel is still there. My grandparents, Harry and Bertha Thomas, founded it in the very early 1950s.

The service was great, and the room was clean with a flat screen and AC. The price is much better than the ridiculously high rates at other motels, so the dated rooms didn't surprise me. I only held back a star because the security could be better: I felt I could pick the door lock myself, and my kids could work out how to get in through a window from outside.

The manager was really cool and kept a close eye on things. The room was clean, though it had flies, and the TV barely worked. The rooms also aren't ADA certified or capable. You get what you pay for here 😜😉😎

My niece got a week-long voucher for this place. It's old, but seemed clean and well cared for, so it wasn't too bad. The tight space is the main drawback: getting your car out means backing onto a busy street.

The manager dude was awesome, really nice, and quiet. It's obviously no 5 star Hilton hotel, but this was a wonderful motel.
