Holiday Inn & Suites Bellingham by IHG

The location was perfect for the airport, basically across the parking lot, and it also worked well for our errands around town. Sarah, Naf, and Nico gave us wonderful hospitality and made the stay better than expected. The rooms were well equipped, and having a laundry room and bar/restaurant made things easy. I’d recommend it if you’re flying.

I had an early flight and could simply walk over to the airport without any stress. The hotel is new, clean, and comfortable, the beds are good, and the staff are very friendly. There’s secure underground parking, and I used their long-term parking. The price felt very fair for what they offer.

It was quiet, and the hot tub jets were wonderful. There’s a sauna and a great breakfast, too. All the amenities were top notch. Thanks, one of the best places I’ve stayed anywhere!

The breakfast costs $15 and isn’t included. I wasn’t sure it was worth it: the eggs were wet and the sausage looked very pale. There were no dirty-clothes bags either. When we came back around midnight, there was no parking, and the front desk person said she’d had to park across the street. That’s not great for guests when the hotel lists free parking, and paying for the garage isn’t ideal. Housekeeping was slamming doors at 7 on Sunday morning, and my text to the front desk got no reply, even though Finley had answered earlier. The manager did respond when I texted at checkout, as the hotel asks guests to do. Before our stay, a man on the phone was accommodating about my request for adjoining rooms, and check-in with the polite Finley was smooth. One of our rooms was fine, but the other had hair on the bathroom wall, dirt or drywall dust on the vanity, and several long black hairs on a towel after I showered. There were too many low points, and we wouldn’t return.
