Oxford Suites Bellingham

Oxford Suites will be my choice again if I’m in the area, and I’ll look for other Oxford Suites locations when I travel somewhere that has one. I was in Bellingham for work and had been comparing motels when I came across it on Google. The price wasn’t much higher than the other place I was considering. The room was large, very clean, and had a big bathtub and shower. The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of TV channels. I also enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, steam room, and small pool. Breakfast had lots of choices and tasted great, and I appreciated that oat milk was available. The front desk staff were very friendly. The stay included two drinks, with alcoholic choices for guests over 21 and plenty of nonalcoholic ones for those under 21 or anyone who preferred that. There was also free soup, which was perfect for a small bite before bed after my very late, large lunch. I didn’t order dinner at the Bistro, but the prices looked good and the portions I saw were huge.

Still a great place to stay, with nice, clean rooms, a big tub, and a pool area that has a sauna and steam room. The location is great, too. A couple of changes, though: the restaurant is closed Sundays, and the omelette station is gone.

I’d be glad to stay again. The room was enjoyable, the staff were personable and helpful, and I liked the complimentary breakfast and evening drink. There was one small snag before check-in. I’d been told I could pay using one method, but when I arrived that option wasn’t available. I had to scramble to find other money for the room. I’m sure it was a misunderstanding, but I wish I’d known ahead of time so I could have planned differently.

The room was nice, and the staff were friendly. The beds felt medium-firm, maybe with memory foam. Breakfast was just okay. Winco market is almost across the street on Meridien, with an ATM inside, and getting to the 5 freeway is easy.
