Hyatt House Lewes/Rehoboth Beach

I slept well in a clean, quiet room at the lovely Hyatt House Lewes. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and there’s a small outdoor patio that’s nice for breakfast or relaxing in the evening. I wasn’t hungry, so I just picked up coffee on my way out, though there were breakfast choices. I’d stay here again if I’m in the area.

When the blizzard left people without power, Hyatt offered the community rooms at a reasonable rate. The staff were so helpful and friendly that I felt like family. It was refreshing to see Hyatt show up for the local community when we needed help most. I highly recommend Hyatt in Lewes.

The one-bedroom suite felt cramped, with barely enough space in the bedroom for the king bed. The kitchenette island served as a desk, presumably because there wasn’t room for one elsewhere. The walls were thin, so I wish there had been better soundproofing, though that seems common in newer buildings. The room and shared areas were clean, and the staff were very friendly. Housekeeping missed us on the second morning, with no cleaning and no note. On the first morning we’d left the do not disturb sign up too long, so they skipped the room and left a card, which was fine. We could have called the front desk when we got back that afternoon, but we were tired and didn’t want to wait.

Sol and Jamie always handle my needs and concerns, and Dana and Robbie do too. The staff, safe and clean setting, and location keep bringing me back. I’ve found my home away from home in Lewes, DE. I come a few times a year in the off season, from November through April, and recently spent the New Year holiday here with my husband and little dog. It was quiet and relaxing, with great breakfasts, clean spacious rooms, and a welcoming, dedicated team. I can cook and take care of myself here, then rest and recenter before heading back to my family and work, where I can keep caring for my clients.
