The back porch was a lovely spot to sit with a book and listen to the creek, and the front was just as peaceful with the goats and chickens to look at. The Bear cabin was clean, with soft, absorbent towels and cool, soft linens. Colin and Jenn were easy to reach without ever getting in our way, and their suggestions for food and things to do were helpful. It was about 15 minutes to John C Campbell Folk School, where my wife was taking classes, and about the same to downtown Murphy. The half dozen farm-fresh eggs were a nice bonus. We're already planning another stay.

Our two Labrador dogs had plenty of space to run around and enjoy the outdoors, and the peaceful, safe setting made it easy to relax and get away from daily life. My husband and I felt at home in the Murphy, NC cabin and loved our stay. Collin and Jennifer were kind, welcoming, and attentive. We'd definitely come back, and highly recommend it.

The creek was soothing at night, and we could see far more stars than we usually do from the city. My granddaughter loved seeing the donkeys, goats, and chickens around the property. The cabin was small but laid out thoughtfully, with two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. Outside, we had a deck, a grill, and a fire pit with chairs, plus firewood already there. The farm-fresh eggs were a thoughtful touch too. Colin and Jenn were very responsive, and my family and I felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. Everything was clean, simple, and uncluttered, with no leftover things from earlier guests, and the grounds were clearly cared for. It was close to home and well placed for exploring the mountains and visiting our favorite spots in the Great Smoky Mountains and Nantahala Gorge. We'd gladly stay again.

We stayed in the “Moose Cabin,” and now we want to try the other cabins too, just to experience each one. The bed was comfortable, and the place had what we needed to enjoy time away from home. They left us a basket of fresh eggs from their chickens as a gift. Great people and a great place. Highly recommend.

Our pups loved roaming the many acres, and bringing them along was an easy process. The property is beautiful, and the cabin was clean and well equipped. Jennifer and Collin were wonderful hosts. Finding farm-fresh eggs waiting for us was such a nice surprise. I'd absolutely recommend staying here.
