The first room had a serious safety problem: its doorknob fell off, leaving us unable to get out. It also smelled strongly of food or cooking. In the next room, a bottle of expired mayo had spoiled in the fridge, which stank, and the TV wouldn't work. I found that the appliances were all plugged into a power strip that wasn't connected. After supper, my key card failed. The front desk was empty, and no one responded to either of the two doorbells or the assistance phone for 20 minutes. When an employee finally arrived, they were rude and made excuses instead of apologizing or helping. The snowy, icy main entrance hadn't been cleared, and two or three pallets were blocking the way, which made access very hard in my wheelchair. Breakfast was poor too: bland biscuits and gravy sat in containers floating in the steam table, and the waffles stuck even after I cleaned the maker and sprayed it again. There was no yogurt or fruit. When Booking.com tried several times to reach the property while we were on the phone about a refund, no one answered. Once they finally got through, the property said our complaints weren't true. Wyndham said it couldn't help because the hotel was independently owned. That's what happened to us. Stay at your own risk. I'd give zero stars if I could. The Booking.com reservation ID was 6911-585-172, as requested for the refund process.

I used to love staying here, but over the past year the place has gone downhill. There were snowdrifts by the front entrance when I checked in, and they removed the vending machines, which is really inconvenient. None of the outside key readers work, so every time you leave you have to prop a side door open with a rock and hope it stays there, or walk all the way around to the front. There are also 15-20 Walmart shopping carts scattered around the property. They should take a little pride in maintaining the place.

The shower was broken, and the carpet really needed vacuuming. I also found a used fork on the floor beside the bed. On my last morning, I got up at 9 for breakfast, which was listed as open until 9:30, but was rudely told it had closed. The front desk gentleman came with me to the breakfast area, where the woman again said it ended at 9 and that guests are told this at check-in. Nobody had told me, or I would've come down earlier. They wouldn't let me get breakfast, even as I watched her scrape the food into the garbage. I was there for work, but otherwise I wouldn't stay again.

The hotel was dirty and poorly kept. The carpet was old and filthy, signs were peeling off the walls, doors were scratched, and the place smelled musty. The side entrance wasn't open, so we had to circle around to get back in. Later I saw it propped open, with all kinds of people wandering through the hotel. In my room, the bathroom door had no lock, and a big green ceiling light blinked all night and kept me from sleeping. The channel list was blurry and hard to read, and I couldn't find the Wi-Fi password on any of the papers in the room. The front desk woman seemed annoyed when I asked for it. Breakfast was disappointing too: stale bread, not much food, and a very dirty room. I was staying with family and had booked two rooms, including a suite. Only one room was ready at check-in. An hour later, the suite still wasn't available, and staff said the site had glitched and there was no suite. I wouldn't have stayed if I hadn't booked it. The front desk woman was rude and spoke English poorly. She treated a two-queen room like a favor, though it was a downgrade. I'd paid extra for the suite and used my one key cash via Expedia, which did me no good since I could've just booked a two-queen room. She reduced the rate a little, but not much. Because of the staff's mistake, I was stuck staying or being charged for the one room. I won't be back and don't recommend this place.

After 10 p.m., staff knocked on my door because others had supposedly complained about us smoking outside. Then they accused us of smoking in the room, which wasn't true, and tried to charge me another $200 for smoking outside. The service and breakfast bar were terrible. I'd rather pay more for a hotel that's better managed, has designated outdoor smoking areas, and offers better service and breakfast.
