At 1 am, after coming from the hospital, we urgently needed somewhere for my husband’s mother to sleep. She has advanced dementia, and our plans to get her into rehab had fallen through while we finished remodeling our house so she could have a room with us. The hotel gave us a perfect room with two queen beds, one in its own little bedroom for Mom. They checked that we had what we needed and offered an extra day of cleaning each week. They refunded our security deposit several days early and gave us a discount when we needed to extend the stay. These are just good quality people. When they make Mom’s bed, they arrange her pillows with her personal decorative one on display and fold her favorite quilt neatly on the bed. She loves it!

After a few days on the trail, I slept fantastically here, with a piping hot shower to boot. You can tell they care about keeping the rooms clean. It’s an independent motel, and the Holiday Motel is hard to beat for value.

Our room, number 27, faced the little grassy area, and my fiancee and I felt completely relaxed there. The shower was amazing, and we had no complaints. We’ll definitely stay again.

For $60, we got two queen beds, which is why I added a star. The room itself was old and shabby, and the busy street location cost it another star. We had no problems with management. We were comfortable overall and would come back if we were in the neighborhood, or even if we weren’t.

It can be tough to find a hotel room that fits our large family, but they had several options at a fraction of what a larger hotel would cost. Definitely worth considering if you’re staying nearby.
