Pine Ridge Inn

The room was spacious, cozy, and nicely laid out, with a beautiful view and good water pressure. Staff were so kind, let us check in early, and accommodated a personal need. I’m very grateful. The breakfast pastries were spectacular, and the place is great value, within five minutes of most places we wanted to visit. I’d absolutely recommend it to friends and stay again.

After a long day on the road, the extra preparations they made for our children really helped us out. They also called the morning of check-in to check in with us. The room, view, service, and general feel of the place all impressed us. Everything was clean and thoughtfully prepared, the bed was comfortable, and the water pressure was great. Chain hotels don’t compare. You can tell they care about their guests, and we can’t wait to return for a longer stay.

Most of the stay was wonderful. The room was great, staff were kind, the patio had a lovely view, Dani Natural products smelled wonderful, and my son loved spinning around in the jacuzzi tub and giggling for half an hour. The after-hours phone was the hard part. I noticed an odd smell and found there were no batteries in the carbon monoxide detector, so I bought some to settle my nerves. Once I put them in, the alarm beeped to show it was dead. I called four times and left two messages, but heard nothing back over two nights. To be safe, I called the fire department. They cleared us, but said the detector was at least three years expired and took it with them. They also tried calling the number and got no answer. That left me uneasy, since guests are supposed to be able to rely on that number after hours. I told the staff at checkout, and the person there was very nice and said she’d have it replaced right away. She handled what had been a frustrating, nearly neglectful situation beautifully. I’d still stay again, but please answer the phone if guests are given that number to rely on.

The courtyard had deer, rabbits, squirrels, and birds, which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was delicious, mostly pastries but gourmet, and the location is close to anything you might need. Staff were sweet, helpful, and great. Upstairs rooms have a Jacuzzi tub and a big shower. My only gripe was the toilet seemed made for tiny people. I highly recommend the place and we’ll be back.
