Harwood Hill Motel

We’ve stayed here a few times while visiting family nearby. It’s a comfortable, cozy motel, with clean, spacious rooms and an excellent continental breakfast for a budget hotel. There was yogurt, fruit, bagels, and coffee. The motel is also close to the highway and main roads.

The owner really cares about the place and works hard. I sat and talked with her, and came away impressed. The property is amazing, and the rooms are super clean and cozy. My kid loved the swing. This place is AWESOME, 10/10, would recommend!

We’ve stayed four times and will keep coming back when we’re passing through. The rooms and grounds are clean, comfortable, quirky, and artsy.

The rooms and property have been thoughtfully updated, so the place feels clean, cozy, and welcoming while keeping its nostalgic New England charm. There’s art in the rooms and around the grounds, plus a short trail to walk. Martha, the owner, is a wonderful host, and the continental breakfast is a pleasant surprise. We’d heard about this motel from a family friend and had wanted to explore this part of Vermont for years. The fall colors were lovely, and the area has a lot of history. It was convenient for us flying in from Albany, NY, and we liked being just eight miles from Appalachian Trail access for hiking. We also got to see the ski resorts as we drove around. The motel has a nice range of room options and feels different from the usual roadside place.
