Safford Mills Inn

We only stayed one night and had no complaints. It was clean and cozy, with a very comfortable bed and a relaxing atmosphere. For fresh food and drinks, The Miller's toll next door was awesome.

My first B&B stay was perfect. We visited in November and were asked by text when we expected to arrive. Someone met us promptly, showed us around, answered our questions, and took us to our room. It was beautiful and clean, and the bed was comfortable. I especially liked the clawfoot tub and the way they mixed modern and antique touches.

We slept soundly and made some great memories here. After being greeted at the door, we were shown through a lovely first-floor bedroom, a beautiful sunroom, and a striking dark parlor with a fireplace before reaching our quiet, wonderfully appointed room. It was a delight. We later picked up salads and a cheese plate from their restaurant to take to our family's room. Our daughters said the man there was extremely kind. Bennington is a nice town to experience, too.

The Morgan Room had such a peaceful, cozy feel. My husband and I loved all the antique pieces and the historic decor. It was easy to imagine how people in that era might have socialized there. The innkeeper, John, was friendly and personable, and his mom, Sandy, was very kind and sweet. John also owns The Miller's Toll Dinner & Club Lounge next door. It has a warm, comforting atmosphere where you can relax with food, drinks, and music. It doesn’t feel like an average bar, more like a place to unwind after a long day. We had a relaxing night away from work and everyday family stresses, and we’ll most definitely be back to the Safford Mills Inn. See you soon.
