The room was clean and worked for what we needed, just somewhere to sleep while exploring the area. I was looking forward to this place after reading the reviews and thought we'd found a gem. Unfortunately, I barely slept because the mattress was unbelievably hard. I didn't know they even made beds that firm. Everything else would've been great, and I'm glad we only booked two nights.

Good location for getting around Bennington and the surrounding area, and the price was great. The room was cute and tidy, but had a really stale smell. The bathtub looked as if it hadn't been cleaned, and the spring mattress was very firm. I'd recommend it for one quick night.

The bathroom was the worst part of the stay: grimy, moldy, and seemingly neglected for a long time. The room was filthy and had such a terrible odor that I washed everything that had been exposed to the place as soon as I got home. The supposed fitness center was misleading, with a dusty old treadmill and a rowing machine that looked like it might be the first one ever made. I wouldn't risk trying room service. The owners should be ashamed of the property's condition. I honestly wonder how it passes state health and safety inspections. I'm disgusted and very disappointed. Avoid this place. I'd give it no stars if I could post without giving one.

It had that old cabin feel, including an earthy smell, but the room was spotless. The renovated bathroom, new floors, and fresh bedding sat in contrast with the room's step-back-in-time character. I liked the no-frills setup: no internet or USB, just a TV with a remote.

The property is beautiful, and the rooms are cozy and nice. It's only a few minutes from town. This is a down-to-earth place, and I'd stay again and again. Here's my bandit enjoying himself.
