Scottish Inn and Suites

I never ended up staying, so I can’t speak to the room, but the place gave me a creepy feeling. I tried to have my cousin stay there, and it seemed like they were trying to con us and rip us off. We used booking.com, and after telling us one thing, they told booking something different when we were trying to get a refund. We were there in the middle of the night, around 1:30 a.m., trying to get into the room. The guy then said we had to pay for the previous night. I’d already paid for two days, so that made no sense. Why pay for an extra night when it’s 1:30 in the morning and checkout is at 11:00 a.m.? I highly recommend no one stay there. They’re creepy and will rip you off.

After a bad storm crippled the area, this was the only hotel around with power and working AC, and I was so grateful for a bed and facilities that mostly worked. The room was large, the shower was good, and the staff were very nice. It was very clean too. Still, there were a lot of cosmetic problems: two lamps had broken shades, the toilet paper holder was broken, the AC knobs had fallen off, and the TV remote didn’t work. These seem like relatively minor fixes, probably under $35 or even less from a garage sale. Fixing them could bring the rooms from a 2 to a 3.5 out of 5.

The check-in room smelled like vapes, and the whole area felt sketchy. The AC in my room barely pushed any air even on max, and it didn’t work properly. There was a box of condoms in the drawer beside the bed, which made me really uncomfortable. The bed and sheets had something strange on them and were covered in different stains. If you’re running a business, clean the room properly and get rid of all the trash.

Dirty, dirty, dirty. The room was even worse than we expected after seeing the old man at the desk. There was barely any hot water, the TV didn’t work, and it smelled bad. There was hair in the tub that wasn’t ours. I’m not sure the room had been cleaned in a long time.
