The beds were clean and really comfortable, and the pillows were the best I’ve had in a hotel. My dad and I stayed for one night while driving up to gamble, and Parx Casino is only a 3-4 minute drive away. There’s also a back way to get there that lets you avoid Street Road. The hotel was very nice, and we had no issues. Breakfast had some options and was enjoyable, though there wasn’t much variety or any hot food like eggs or bacon, which we’d hoped for. We’ll definitely come back.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the bed was clean and comfortable. But the carpets, curtains, and lampshades were stained and looked dirty, and the chair had burn holes. Our room was right beside the elevator equipment room, which shouldn’t be rented out. I was exhausted enough that the noise didn’t bother me until 4 a.m. We were only there for one night, thankfully. If the other rooms are like this, I wouldn’t stay again.

The front desk gentleman was really nice and helpful, including when he was working around breakfast time. The room looked normal at first, but on closer inspection there were boogers and some liquid splattered on the wall. I wiped the liquid and it came off, so it wasn’t a stain. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned: there was pubic or shaving hair on the tub walls and around the drain, plus some brown liquid in the sink. There were two red marks on the floor, one by the mirror and one by the bed, and white stains on the couch. The bed was probably the only clean thing in the room. Since we arrived after midnight and left first thing in the morning, we didn’t go down to tell anyone. I’m not sure whether there was a cleaning fee, but we shouldn’t have had to pay one when the room hadn’t been cleaned. We were also told the elevator only worked going up, so we had to use the stairs, though that wasn’t mentioned when booking. With my leg injury, that was disappointing. And how does the elevator get back to the bottom floor after going up? Based on our stay, I’d strongly suggest booking somewhere else if you can. The desk gentleman was the only positive.

The hotel and surrounding area were fine, and we’d stay again if we were nearby. In the morning, though, our bathroom smelled of smoke, so we assumed someone in the next room had been smoking.
