Days Inn Benson

It’s an old facility, and some of the furniture wobbles a bit. The beds make up for that. I loved the wide, long counters and the bright bathroom light, which was fabulous for doing makeup. Breakfast was pretty good for being free, the usual options but tasty.

The staff were friendly, the pool was clean, and the soft bed, decent TV channel selection and free breakfast made for a good stay. The beds slid around because they weren’t secured in place, and the refrigerator stank up the room. Pets are allowed for an extra $10 per night at the time of this review. There are no elevators, so you might need to climb a flight of stairs unless you call ahead for a ground-floor room.

I slept so well that I woke up rested enough to drive 17 hours to my destination. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, the room was clean, and the sheets felt new. The night staff lady was amazing and friendly. She noticed in my reservation that I couldn’t do stairs and saw from our history that we’d used a double-bed room before. Since there were no king beds left downstairs, she changed my reservation from a king to a double so I wouldn’t have to go upstairs. She made guests feel like friends. Breakfast was nice, the food was fresh, and the dining area was kept very clean. This is the best Days Inn I’ve ever stayed at. I’ll split my next trip the same way just to stay here again.

The king room was spacious, nicely decorated, and had a large desk I loved using for my laptop. The motel was very clean, and the hot water and water pressure were good. The front desk staff were nice at check-in. Breakfast was a basic continental spread with hot options like eggs and waffles. There’s a really good BBQ restaurant and a Denny’s within walking distance. It’s not fancy, but it’s a real bargain. Pets cost a small $10 fee. I had a very nice stay and will come back.
