Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Bentonville by IHG

Quiet, clean, and restful, with a good breakfast in the morning. There are plenty of restaurants close by, and although the hotel is near the main roads, you don't hear traffic. We'd be happy to come back.

I slept comfortably here and would stay again. There were hardly any guests, so noise wasn't an issue, and even though the interstate is nearby, you can't hear it from the rooms. Plenty of good restaurants are close, and downtown is just 10 miles away.

The card situation was a mess. The front desk ran my card four times, which got it locked for possible fraud. I showed the employee proof that they had charged the amount on the first day, but he kept arguing that they hadn't and said it was only for an “incidental” amount. He still insisted I was wrong. They also charged a pet fee for our service dog. When we reminded him the dog was a service animal, he snapped that he had already put the fee back. The room and halls smelled bad. There was hair all over the bathroom counter, mold throughout the bathroom, and the AC barely worked, so the room was SO hot. We will never come back. **EDIT TO ADD** We were charged because our service dog shed on a piece of furniture. That wasn't damage, and damage is the only thing a service animal can be charged for. This is another way registered service animals are scrutinized. People with service animals should probably be told to expect a charge if their dog sheds. The hotel also told corporate our dog had gone through the lobby several times without his vest on. Service dogs are NOT required to wear one!

The hotel was okay, with a couple of small issues. Brian took care of them quickly and made sure I was looked after. He's exactly what I'd expect from someone in hospitality. 10/10 for him.
