Rose Garden Inn

The bed in the deluxe attic room was so hard that I didn't find it restful, though I would still stay here again. That room's all-wood architecture is warm, distinctive, and almost begs for photos. Across the inn, the Victorian homes have art, vases, big mirrors, matching furnishings, stained-glass windows, and beaded valances. Staircases connect many of the buildings and lead to most rooms; statues sit in the garden, and there are several indoor and outdoor dining areas and common spaces to relax in. Breakfast is served buffet style in the morning, with freshly baked cookies in the afternoon. The Rose Garden Inn is a lovely, eclectic collection of old Victorian houses set up as a B&B. It could use quite a few small repairs to preserve it, but overall it's charming.

The staff were great, friendly and efficient, and breakfast was nice, though I wish the coffee had been warmer. We had a large room in a quiet place with beautiful gardens. There was no air conditioning, but we opened the window and used the small fan and ceiling fan. Even with the unusual heat that week, we slept comfortably.

Room 108 was huge, with detailed wood floors, walls, and ceilings, plus stained-glass windows. It felt almost like a top-floor suite, and the bed was comfortable. The inn has a quiet, cozy feel inside and out, with antique furniture and a lovely old-fashioned atmosphere. I liked the way the different rooms were arranged. The continental breakfast was good too. I'd recommend it.

The young people at the front desk were helpful and nice, but the place looks like it was a good hotel 25 years ago. The rooms are tiny, the doors don't open and shut right, and even the rooms marked non-smoking smelled of smoke. The carpet and curtains were worn, ripped, and stained.
