Cedar Creek Inn

Nikki made this stay for us. She was so warm and friendly from the minute we arrived, and even brought us homemade spaghetti for dinner. It was delicious, and she deserves a raise. We loved our time at cedar creek inn, and it’s a cozy, affordable place I’d absolutely recommend.

The bed was amazing, and the parking lot was good. Shows and movies are available on demand, and the showers have soap stocked right where you need it. Everything was laid out beautifully, honestly like a work of art. The staff are really sweet, too. My only complaint is the prices: snacks and drinks are $1, while water is $1.75. Water should cost less than soda. It’s really nice here, and I’m not sure anywhere else comes close.

There was nobody at the desk when I arrived, even though the listing said the desk was staffed 24 hours. I called the number and was told an attendant would come promptly; they showed up a few minutes earlier. I’d reserved through “Booking.com” in December, when it said only 1-2 rooms remained, and I’d indicated an early afternoon arrival. The sign outside said “No vacancy,” but there wasn’t a single car in the lot. The attendant asked what kind of room I preferred, which seemed odd for a motel that was supposedly booked up. The room was okay, though there were a couple of dead bugs. I went out for dinner, and when I got back the parking lot was still empty. I wouldn’t stay here again. Something feels off about this motel.

The rooms were clean and the air-conditioning worked well. The manager was helpful, and the shower had strong water flow. Across the street in Bertram, Hill Country Smokehouse had the best barbecue ever.
