John and Jeanette made us feel welcome from the moment we walked into the Inn, and they went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our room was immaculate, and the breakfasts were amazing. I tried dishes I'd never had before, and each one was spectacular. The coffee was top notch, too. We drove from Alabama to Bethel, Maine, over Christmas in 2025 to see family and friends, and The Holidae House felt like home for all 11 days. Bethel is a beautiful, quaint little town with history, culture, and great restaurants. I'd highly recommend it for a Bed & Breakfast stay. If we're lucky enough to visit Bethel again, we'll book another stay with you all. 😉

John once got up very early after heavy snowfall to clear the snow off everyone's cars. He and Jeannette are wonderful hosts, and her breakfasts are always something special. I stay here for a week of skiing each winter. The location is right in the center of town yet remains quiet. It's a charming old Victorian house with a comfortable common room where tea, coffee, snacks, books, and movies are always available.

The owner-hosts know the area, are friendly, and make a hearty breakfast. Their hospitality feels genuine, and our room was clean and comfortable. Holidae House is right in the middle of Bethel, so we parked there and easily walked to the grocery store, Gemini bakery, restaurants, and shops. We were following the baseball playoffs and had no trouble watching the games on our room TV.

We were only there for one night, but felt welcome and well looked after the whole time. John and Jeannette were warm hosts, and the Victorian house has lots of charm. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight, freshly made with care, and the gourmet coffee was exceptional. I had three cups! We walked to a good dinner and caught a great sunset, too. Highly recommend this B&B if you're visiting Bethel.

The host was gracious throughout, but the room's location made the stay hard for me. It was about five feet from the front door and beside the stairs to the second floor, so I heard guests coming and going, traffic and voices outside, and phone rings from upstairs. I checked out after one night. The bathroom was tiny, maybe a converted closet, and breakfast was mostly a dressed-up apple pancake with three sausages. Those are small things I would otherwise have overlooked. I don't like leaving local businesses less than five stars, but I couldn't give HH that rating. My stay just didn't match most of the other reviews.
