Homewood Suites by Hilton Allentown-Bethlehem Airport

The breakfast taco bar is a personal favorite of mine, and the breakfast and its staff were amazing. Natasha, who tends the breakfast area, is easy to find if you need something or just want a friendly person to talk to. The location is great, and it’s an awesome hotel. Construction was the only thing keeping me from giving it five stars. They had warned us and prepared us adequately, but the noise is still rough when you’re trying to relax.

At this price, there are better options unless the rate were $20-30 lower per night. The hotel is okay, but outdated and missing typical Hilton amenities like an airport shuttle. Bring USB chargers, since there’s only one USB charging port in the room. They also charged parking for every night, even though I only had a car for half my stay.

I’ve stayed here several times over the past two years, and it’s always been a positive experience. Natasha, the breakfast attendant, is efficient and really good at her job. The food is hot and fresh.

This was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had. Our room wasn’t ready at the 5:00 PM check-in time, so we waited more than an hour. The toilet was clogged when we arrived, and there was no after-hours maintenance. Nobody came to fix it the next day, so we had to get a plunger from the front desk and unclog a toilet we hadn’t blocked. There was no hot water, leaving everyone with cold showers, and the bathtub wouldn’t hold water, so our baby couldn’t have a proper bath. We’d asked for housekeeping at check-in and never got it. None of the beds had mattress pads or protectors. Breakfast was cold and unappetizing. There was no manager on duty, and none of them returned our calls. From check-in to check-out, the lack of service and management response, alongside all these problems, was unacceptable.
