We spent four great days here and would gladly come back. Bethlehem, Littleton, Franconia, and Sugar Hill are all cute, with plenty of outdoor activities nearby. The screened wraparound porch is a lovely place to sit and read or use a tablet, and the first floor has a reading room, dining area with cold water, tea, and coffee, and more seating than I could keep track of. We visited in October, when Karen had decorated inside and out for fall and Halloween. Even the skeletons driving the old Packard in the front yard made us smile. Breakfast alone is worth setting an alarm for. Karen and Dave cook everything from scratch, and over our stay we had scrambled eggs, thick maple bacon, country potatoes, French toast, blueberry muffins, bread pudding, and fresh fruit. We stayed in the George Washington room, which was very large and had a bathroom with both a tub and shower. That king bed was so comfortable I could have slept for days. The Mulburn Inn feels special as soon as you walk into the main room. The period furniture is beautiful, and the stained glass lights give the place a warm glow. Karen and Dave are wonderful innkeepers. Ask Dave about the history of the 120-year-old house, and he may tell you which past celebrity stayed in your room. Woolworths, Ivey’s, Edison, DiMaggio, Monroe, Hutton, and Grant are among the names that came up.

The whole Inn feels warm and welcoming, and the rooms are comfortable, nicely decorated, and immaculate. The beds are some of the comfiest around. Dave and Karen are wonderful owners, and Dave makes a delicious breakfast from scratch. Karen dresses up the entire place for the season, and her fall and Halloween decorations were amazing. Coffee and tea in lots of flavors are available all day and evening. The location also works well for visiting the cute little towns around New Hampshire. I highly recommend the Mulburn Inn.

We really enjoyed chatting with the other guests who were passing through, and we’ll definitely return. This was our first bed and breakfast stay, and I think we lucked out. Dave and Karen were the best hosts, and we felt welcome the moment we walked into their lovely home. Karen had decorated every inch for fall, and Dave’s breakfast was delicious. He’s a great cook.

Breakfast at the Mulburn Inn was delicious every morning. You wake up to the smell of maple bacon, and the homemade orange butter on the French toast and the eggs were so good. The menu changed daily, with things like bread pudding, homemade muffins, and cut fruit, and we never left hungry. At night, sitting on the screened porch under the heat lamps was wonderful. Jess was also great and happy to help with anything we needed. We stayed in the Thomas Jefferson room, where Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio had stayed before. It was spacious and beautiful, and the bed, sheets, blankets, comforter, and pillows were all just right. Dave and Karen made us feel right at home. This was by far our best stay, a five-plus experience, and I can’t wait to plan another vacation here. Thank you, Dave and Karen! Rhonda and Bob T.

We planned on one night at The Mulburn Inn during a road trip to Burlington, VT, then decided the next morning to drive all the way back and stay three more nights. It feels comfortable, like home away from home, and the owners made us feel like family. I’m sure we’ll return as often as we can. The mattress was heaven, and I slept like a baby. The rooms are charming, comfortable, and clean, with lovely fall decorations. I’m a foodie, and the breakfast really is as amazing as people say. I even nudged my way into Dave and Karen’s kitchen to watch them cook with fresh local eggs and fine ingredients. There was so much food that you couldn’t finish it, though you’d try. You wake up to the incredible smell of it cooking.
