The bar staff made our night at the Wilbur Mansion. They suggested and mixed special cocktails that went beyond what we expected, including a Winter Whiskey from a PA distillery that we visited later on our trip. Our nightcaps helped us sleep well in a quiet, very comfortable room, and a breakfast basket was waiting when we woke up. We were welcomed warmly, and the place has a classy feel. Our room was large and spotlessly clean. The stay was a highlight, and we hope to visit again.

We had a perfect, relaxing dinner and will definitely go back. The service was friendly, attentive, and above and beyond, and the drinks and dessert were a great finish. The ribeye was simply seasoned, charred, and cooked perfectly medium rare. The filet had a demo glaze and was also exactly medium rare. They easily accommodated a vegetable change. I loved that the renovation kept the original woodwork, which took me back to how the building looked when it was first built. The food and service were amazing, and it was well worth the money.

The room was beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed, though late-night noise from loud guests in the hallway was a problem. My main concern was how unclear the website was about breakfast. With such a good restaurant, I expected the included breakfast to be a sit-down meal with hot options. Instead, they brought a sparse basket to the room with two muffins, two apples, and K coffee cups for making your own. That was disappointing for a bed and breakfast style inn. The website should make clear that breakfast is a muffin and apple in the room.

I attended an event here but didn’t stay in the rooms, so I can’t comment on them. The food was excellent, and the servers were pleasant and attentive in just the right measure. The bathrooms, though, were a hard pass for me. There’s one bathroom for everyone, with each stall set up like its own little bathroom and a lock that indicates vacant or occupied. The sinks and mirrors are in a shared area, and the door is glass with only partial frosting. It felt awkward to adjust clothing or check my appearance in a common space without much privacy.

We’ve stayed here a few times now and highly recommend the place to locals and visitors. On our latest visit we had the Premier King with soaking tub, and everything matched the description perfectly, from the spacious bathroom and tub to the separate changing room. The holiday decorations and attention to detail looked lovely. What keeps bringing us back is the personal connection with the attentive staff. Sundiata and Lou were gracious and welcoming, and bartender Ashlynn helped make the place feel like a home away from home. We recommend the restaurant too. On our first visit, we booked because it was near Lehigh University. The building has the original charm of an 1864 place, with a mansion-like exterior and a modern interior, and it has just nine rooms. We got a complimentary upgrade to the spacious Superior King, thanks to Lou. It had a plush king bed, plenty of room to walk around, a modern TV that could cast from a phone, keyless entry, and a bright bathroom with a rain shower. The small complimentary breakfast included muffins, OJ, and fruit, along with a bottle of Saratoga water in the room. We also tried the in-house restaurant, Swift, during happy hour. Wine was $7 a glass, and many dishes were $10. We had shrimp cocktails with five large shrimp, fried calamari with capers, and a Wilburburger with fries, each for $10. My wife’s pan-seared Chilean sea bass was $42. The sea bass skin was a little too charred and the fries a bit over-fried, but those were minor complaints. Everything else was stupendous, and our bartender Katy deserves a shout-out.
