The room was dirty, with old furniture, an old mattress, and a broken blind. On top of that, they booked us for two rooms and refused to refund us for one. They said they needed to keep the money for food, diapers, and employee pay. Don't waste your money. It's a dump!

Room #7 was a good price, and we liked having a patio plus an extra area out front for eating and keeping our luggage. It was handy being right by the parking space, gas station, and Circle K, where we walked over for coffee in the morning and a soda at night for just $0.89, any size. The little refrigerator and microwave were cute, and the shower pressure was good. There was a power outage one night, though the mild weather meant it wasn't too hot or cold. The bathroom has just one small sink for everything, from washing your face to cleaning cups and plates. The toilet seat needs replacing, and tiles are missing where you step in and out of the shower. That edge could cut your toe, so it may be a safety hazard.

These modest, remodeled cabins are clean and close to the lake and attractions. They were fairly quiet, though boulevard traffic can get busy at times. There’s only a microwave and coffee pot, so it’d help to have some dishes, microwave-safe bowls, and silverware in the cupboards. We ended up going to the thrift store. A broom and dustpan in the unit would also be useful for sweeping up.

We were in Cabin #2 for a quick two-night getaway, but the worn-out bed and couch made it unlikely we’d return. The room has charm and potential, and it was clean overall. The king bed was so firm and worn that we sank toward the middle, and the tiny, flat pillows were worn too. With no office, we couldn’t ask for more pillows. We barely slept and woke up sore all over, which put a damper on the trip. The couch was old and dirty enough that we couldn’t sit on it to watch TV, and there were no blinds over the front door window by the Jacuzzi bath. There were some good features: the large, well-cleaned indoor Jacuzzi tub for two, a shower for two, a heater and gas fireplace that both worked well. Still, updating the bed and couch would make a big difference.

The two-person shower was a highlight, with two heads, one that lit up in different colors and another rainfall head. The fireplace and furnace worked great, and the freezer in the fridge came in handy. I also appreciated the coffee maker and Wolfgang Puck coffee. Circle K is right across the street. This was our second visit, eight years after our first, and this time we stayed in #6 instead of #5. The place has some wear and tear but is still quite serviceable. The main drawback is the toilet: it's low and sits very close to the wall. Larger people, over 350 lbs, may have trouble using it and should probably look for other accommodations.
