The family-run property had such a warm, personal feel, and the vintage style made it charming. We loved the cozy atmosphere and all the thoughtful touches, from the tasty breakfast and snacks to the board games and musical instruments. We had an amazing time. Thank you, Toni, Darrin & Amy.

It was hard to get my kids, 11 and 14, to leave this charming, cozy place. The owners and manager were so hospitable, and the location felt central while still being tucked away enough to relax. This is just right for a family getaway, and we're definitely coming back!

Darrin recommended Oakside for dinner, and it was a great tip. He and Cadence were friendly, attentive, and knew the area well. We stayed in the lover’s room (Clark Gables room), with its vintage cameras and bath tubs, and the separate bathroom was beautifully decorated. The house itself is breathtaking, and the homemade breakfast included a parfait and fresh orange juice made by Darrin. There’s also a game room with lots to do. They host weddings and rent out the whole house too. Great price, even better stay, and we’ll definitely be back!

The historic 1920s home captures Big Bear’s charm, and the grounds are beautiful and spotless. We booked a last-minute romantic weekend at Gold Mountain Manor, and the friendly owners made us feel right at home and let us bring our dog. Breakfast was amazing, and the owner replied quickly whenever we had questions. It was our first bed & breakfast stay, and we're already looking forward to returning. Highly recommend it for a peaceful, authentic Big Bear escape!

We stayed in the Cozy Pine room over Memorial Day Weekend 2025, and the experience set a high bar for our first bed and breakfast. The house and room were beautiful and well maintained, and the property felt like a movie scene. Breakfast was delicious. We mostly saw Darrin, who was as nice as can be. We’ll definitely return, hopefully in winter to see another season.
