There were safety issues everywhere: no fire alarm, no carbon monoxide detector, exposed wiring where outlet plates were missing, and nails sticking out of cabin walls. Soot streaked the inside of the whole room. The sheets and sinks were stained, pillows had blood on them, towels and pillowcases had hair, and the shower and tub were stained. Algae and mold were in the spa jets. The cabin also lacked a hair dryer and cleaning supplies, yet we were expected to clean up or pay a cleaning fee. Outside, awning sections were missing from most cabins, chain-link fencing was torn, and there was trash and debris around, including an old used water heater under the cabin next to us. The Wi-Fi never worked. We raised concerns with management during our stay, but they didn’t offer to fix anything. When I asked for a refund, they offered only 30% off. Check-in was late and checkout was early, at 10 a.m. This place is a complete dump. Only stay if you’ve had your shots.

The grounds were filthy, with trash everywhere and broken appliances stored behind and under other cabins. Someone living at the facility let their small child scream and yell past quiet hours. When we sent the manager a list of complaints, there was no reply until just before checkout, when they reminded us to leave on time for the cleaning crew. We rented this cabin mainly for the hot tub, but it was cracked, peeling, and dirty when we arrived. When water hit the basin, flakes of paint came off into it, so it was unusable. I’d bought cleaning supplies before realizing that. Airbnb has been alerted, and I don’t want anyone else to fall for this listing. The cabin itself was a mess. There were only two pillows for two beds, and no extras. A person who looked like a handyman brought extra sheets rolled up in a bowl and pressed against his dirty clothes. The overhead light was broken, floors were filthy, and the windows were off track and wouldn’t stay open or lock. The kitchen was advertised as usable and well equipped, but we found two plates, one saucer, no bowls, two mismatched glasses, and no wine glasses. We asked for wine glasses and got one wine glass and one champagne glass, both very dirty. The cutlery was dirty, mismatched, and incomplete; dirty pots and pans were in a cabinet. No trash bags, kitchen towels, pot holders, or dishwashing and drying supplies were provided, though a sign said we’d be charged for leaving dirty dishes. In the bathroom, the toilet paper holder and mirror were broken, and there was just a quarter roll of toilet paper and no shampoo, conditioner, or soap. We had to ask for more towels and got some with large holes that smelled. There was no bathmat, and the shower curtain was torn and had no liner. The hairdryer was missing from the wall; an hour after we asked for one, a brand-new boxed one showed up, clearly just bought at a store. We asked for a partial refund because listed amenities were missing and we had to buy supplies, and because the hot tub couldn’t be used. They told us they don’t trade refunds for good reviews.

Cabin #5 was dirty, with spider webs everywhere. The bathroom was falling apart, and the shower head sprayed all over except straight ahead. The jacuzzi tub was extremely dirty and missing its knobs. I was so worried about cleanliness that I didn’t sleep under the covers in case there were bed bugs or something worse. Awful stay.

The cabin was old, but kind of cozy. We took pictures of everything in case anyone tried to blame us for damage, then just slept there and left. Two days later, we saw a $100 charge on our card for damages they said we caused. Other reviews show the condition of these rooms, and it feels like they charge you for it hoping you won’t notice. Don’t stay here, it’s a scam.

We left early because the power went out in the morning and the cabin was in such bad shape. Soot from the fireplace covered the place, and there were dead and live insects throughout, including cockroaches in the kitchen and bugs under the bedding. The fire alarms kept beeping. The coffee maker and microwave were very dirty, and the freezer still had food and drinks from a previous guest. Every soap dispenser was empty, and the beds were really uncomfortable. Very disappointed with our choice. Skip this place.
