We keep coming back to Blue Horizon Lodge, and Cabin 8 has been our choice on both visits. The detached cabins are clean, well maintained, and quiet, with no noise from other guests. Inside, there's a sitting area with a couch, coffee table, TV, and working fireplace, plus a small dining area and kitchen with an oven, stove, minifridge, and microwave. The Lodge supplies basic cookware and utensils, so we bring food and cook in the cabin. It's fun and saves us a lot compared with eating out. The owners have also updated several fixtures since our last visit, which shows how much care they put into the place. A separate bedroom has a large window, and the bathroom shower gets very hot with great water pressure, much appreciated after skiing. There's a raised front deck with chairs and a table, as well as a shared outdoor area with seating and several barbecue grills. Younger kids have a small playground. At night the well-lit property feels safe, and being off the main road makes it somewhat secluded. This cozy cabin is ideal for a couple, though a small group of friends could use the pullout couch for another sleeping area. We love relaxing here after a day on the mountain and use it as our ski getaway. We could see ourselves staying for a week or two someday. We're impressed every time and look forward to returning.

Cabin 9 worked great for us, with three sets of bunk beds all in one room. The shower was really nice for a cabin, and there's a cute breakfast place within walking distance. We stayed at the end of July, left the windows open all night, and the temperature was perfect. We'll be back.

The cabin had that outdoorsy camping feel, but it was still comfortable and homey. It was clean, warm, and cozy, with thoughtful supplies in the room, so we only needed our personal things and food if we wanted to cook. The fireplace was lovely, and there was a heater too. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend this place to anyone. Hope and Brodie were wonderful, quick to help, professional, and so kind. Thanks for everything, we hope to return.

We had such a good time celebrating milestone birthdays with friends at Blue Horizon Lodge over Thanksgiving that we've decided to make it an annual trip. The private cabins and lovely scenery made it feel like our own retreat, and we could spend time together while still social distancing. The staff were warm and welcoming, and Grace, John, and Desiree went out of their way to make the occasion special. We enjoyed the picnic and BBQ area and volleyball court, though it wasn't warm enough to use the pool. Nothing beats bundling up around a fire on a cold evening and catching up with good friends.

The property and location were very nice, and the kids were already having fun sledding near the playground as soon as we arrived. There was a sled available, and we were lucky enough to have snow while we were there. Service was friendly and kind, and I enjoyed the stay overall. My comments are just about cabin #10: the fireplace is by the kitchen, so it wasn't really somewhere to enjoy from the living area. The instructions also say not to use it while the heat is on, because the furnace intake can draw smoke into the cabin. With the fireplace running, the separate bathroom and bedroom got very cold.
