Bravo Big Bear Lodge Three

The kids had a blast playing in the snow, and there was plenty of seating for everyone. Our cabin was clean, well kept, and laid out nicely. It was stocked, so forgetting something wasn't a worry, and parking was ample for our cars. We came a couple of days after the snowfall and got those sunny, picture-perfect days, with both snow and warmth. It made for a beautiful family weekend.

Getting around was simple: the free shuttle stops right outside and comes at least every 30 minutes, with a 5-10 minute ride to town or the resorts. The resorts themselves are only a few minutes by car. We could also walk to the village in about 15 minutes, a little under a mile on a mostly flat, lovely route. Restaurants, ski shops, and other stores on Big Bear Blvd are less than a five-minute walk away. After the snowstorm, the driveway and parking area had been cleared, so it was easy to get in and park. The cabins are adorable and comfortable, with a rustic mountain feel. They’re well equipped with nice linens, toiletries, quality kitchen tools, a fancy coffee maker, and grinder. Bring whole coffee beans you like, or use the ones in the cabin. Management was great.

I loved how close the lake was, and there were restaurants, coffee shops, Big 5, markets, and shopping centers within walking distance. Inside, it felt cozy and clean as soon as we arrived, and all the appliances were provided. It had just what my family and I needed to feel at home. I really recommend it and can’t wait to return. Thanks for making our stay so easy and wonderful!

After a day out riding at Snow Valley, the jacuzzi and cold plunge were wonderful, and we enjoyed evenings around the outdoor grill, table, and seating area. We brought our mountain bikes for the weekend, and The Hideaway Big Bear made a great base. Our host was friendly, quick to respond, and helpful with questions before and during the visit. The cabin fit four adults and our small dog comfortably, with room to spread out while still feeling cozy. We cooked a family meal in the fully equipped kitchen and gathered at the big dining table. It was clean and comfortable, with board games, other entertainment, and a Bluetooth surround sound system. There were lovely spots to curl up with a book, and the mountain-chic decor gave the place a warm, relaxing feel. We loved our stay and will book The Hideaway Big Bear again. It worked well for our group and the activities we had planned.
