We liked the accommodations and being within walking distance of the summit entrance. The unit could use some updating, but we'd definitely stay again. A smoke detector in the unoccupied unit next door was chirping because its battery was low. We called the night manager, who fixed it promptly.
Our condo was great and had Wi-Fi, and it was nice being so close to the ski slopes. Just keep in mind that although it sleeps ten, it has only two rooms, with six people sleeping in one room on two bunk beds. That wasn't an issue for our group, but could matter if anyone wants privacy. Great overall!
We chose this place for Snow Summit skiing, and the location was perfect. We had unit #120, with a three-foot wall behind it that you can hop over to reach chair 1, about 60 feet away. The check-in staff were really friendly and helpful. The complex is huge, so I've attached a map to help you find a unit near the slopes. It also backs onto the forest, with lots of places to play in the snow. The unit itself was very dated, but comfortable and had everything you'd need.
I was showing the condo to clients who loved how close it is to Snow Summit, with ski-in/ski-out access. It needs some work, but could be a good investment for a savvy buyer.
Being steps from Snow Summit makes this a great place to stay, and I've learned that staying close to the mountain never disappoints me. The complex is quiet, and the units are clean and comfortable, though they're not all alike. I've stayed in three and found Unit 78 the best: convenient, modern, and clean, with comfortable beds, plenty of bunks for kids or adults, nice log furniture, and newly updated bathrooms. It's the only place I'd stay in the Big Bear area!
