We could see the mangroves right from the waterfront, and there was live music while we were there. The happy hour menu was great, the food was really good, and the wait staff kept a close eye on things. F18s were practicing overhead, so if you like watching planes take off and land, that was fun to see. They said their phones don't work, but they're always open. A great little gem.

I make a point of bringing friends from out of town here. It's an easygoing, open-air place to visit together, and the fish choices are really good. I like mine grilled or blackened, though last time I tried the fish Reuben. Geiger Key has campground rentals too. The service is wonderful, and it's dog and kid friendly. A nice spot to enjoy with friends and family.

Sarah made check-in easy, and Nichole at the restaurant has a great personality and takes good care of guests. The restaurant itself is a real little gem, with hogfish fingers and tacos worth trying. We were about 25 minutes from Key West when traffic was light. Jets start flying overhead around 8:20, so sleeping late isn't really in the cards, though seeing and hearing them is awesome. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

We went twice on our vacation, and the dogs were eager to come back. They loved the huge hamburgers on the doggie menu, and the place is super dog friendly. Eve was our waitress both times and did an awesome job. Everything we tried was delicious, from the smoked fish dip and swordfish special to the hogfish tacos and cocktails. The Fish Camp is tucked among the mangroves, with that laid-back Keys feel. Perfect for us.

My son is still talking about feeding the fish. Evan brought out some fish food for him, and it became the highlight of the trip. Evan was sweet and attentive, and his recommendations were excellent. The hogfish tacos and sandwich were delicious, my son loved the black beans and rice, and the strawberry coconut mojito was just right. We had a fantastic visit with the kids. I'd worked here years ago, and it was lovely to find it still so welcoming and relaxed, with gorgeous waterfront views and that local Keys feel. One thing to know: cigarette smoking is allowed right beside diners. I'm extremely sensitive to the smell, and it gives me a headache right away. It may not bother most people, but it was a minor downside for me. The food, service, and atmosphere were otherwise excellent.
