The Resource Inn

I was glad Big Lake has a public laundry with commercial washers and dryers. The front desk lady was super nice when we went to get quarters. A couple of the washers were broken, though, and the dryer seals caught on the clothes. At one point I thought mine might rip. The place could use a cleaning, but it’s in the desert, so what can you expect? I only used the laundry.

The cabins are good and clean, and the staff are good too. I enjoyed my stay during the week, but on the weekend a house on the property started blasting music all night, shaking the cabin windows. If they can get the house to settle down and recognize it has neighbors, this would be a great place to stay.

Glad we found this place, since there isn’t much around here. The price is good, and the cabins are nice, with comfortable beds. The window AC works great, and there’s a little fridge, microwave, single stove, small table, and nice TVs. A few things could be better. The TV is hard to hear over the AC, though I’m not complaining, just letting you know. Two pillows are okay for two people, but four would be better, and these were a little flat. Housekeeping did a good job, but could’ve done a bit more. I found bags and stuff in the drawer beside the bed and some dirt on the floor. There were more flies than I’d like, too. We brought our dog, and he’s comfortable, though the stickers make it hard for him to go potty. That’s nature! The stray cats are louder than the people, lol. We’ll be back and appreciate this little hidden spot.

The staff were professional, respectful, and friendly, and I’d definitely recommend the place to others working in the area. It was clean and quiet. The bathroom could be bigger, but there’s plenty of hot water, so I can’t complain.
