We caught pretty sunrises over No Name Key, and the place looked good for fishing. Bahia Honda State Park nearby had nice beaches, kayaks to rent and snorkeling. No Name Pub is just a short walk away, too. It's a low-key spot off the beaten path, especially compared with Marathon or Key West. The furnishings were just OK, and getting the wifi working took some effort. There was a pool, but it was too cool to use during our stay.

We stayed on the houseboat, and my husband, who gets seasick, never felt sick while we were aboard. The place was clean and nice, well furnished, and the people were helpful. The boat can comfortably sleep five adults and two children, or six adults and two children. The children sleep in the loft. There are two full beds, plus space for one or two adults on the futon in the kitchen area. If you're familiar with futons, one person sleeps comfortably on it, though two can fit.

As foster parents, we’re encouraged by the State to take a vacation each year, but June is the only time my wife is available, when all the kids are home. We don't get vacations from our children, and a family of four had been placed in our custody, so we brought them along. Places started at $2,100 for a family of four, and when we mentioned five children, the price for the exact same motel or chalet jumped to $8,600-$10,300. Old Wooden Bridge only charged $50 extra per person as a cleaning fee. They walked through the rental and handed me $350 cash back, saying it was cleaner than when one couple rents it. I've never had a rental owner treat us that well. Thank you very much. The Key deer came to us every day. We didn't feed them, and we poured out a case of bottled water each day. When we went for walks, they all came along with us. So cool.

Old Wooden Bridge made our visit a great memory, and we're so happy we chose to stay there. We took several day trips north and south, including jet skiing and snorkeling out of Key West, and the Dolphin Encounter and Turtle Hospital in Marathon. We even saw manatees from the bridge. Highly recommend this location!

We come back to old wooden bridge in marina every year and plan to keep doing so. We like the stilt houses since my husband is a bigger man and prefers them to the aqulouge. The pool is being worked on right now, but they offered free kayaks that you can launch right from the marina. We don't have children, so that didn't matter to us. Horseshoe key is three miles away, and you can snorkel and swim there, along with lots of other swimming spots. Boat rentals are very reasonably priced. It's peaceful and quiet in the mornings, and we love sitting outside watching the key deer come right up to eat the grass. The staff is incredible. One of them brought us a bunch of coconuts from a local tree and left them by our door while we were out. No, name pub is right down the street, so there's no need to leave the key if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle and just relax. Thanks to all the great staff for always making sure we had everything we needed.
