The lights dimmed in and out now and then, and there was a dripping sound outside the room. Closing the bathroom door took care of the noise. I stayed for a few nights and was happy with the location and room, since I was out most of the time. Check-in and checkout were easy at the gas station. They have their own supermarket, which was convenient. Parking can get crowded if you arrive late, but I could always find a spot.

A very clean, comfortable place along the 395, with spacious rooms and a good bed. It's next to the gas station that runs it, and that store is fully stocked. Just be aware that nothing is open on Sunday evening, so finding food can be tough. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay.

We picked this motel as a base for our Palisade Glacier hike, mainly because of the location. Checking in at the Chevron next door made me unsure at first, but it turned out to be a plus. It's more than a gas station, with a local market, hardware supplies, fresh food, a sandwich counter, and plenty of snacks. The staff were as accommodating as they could be. The place is simple, but super clean. Our standard double queen room was spacious and had what we needed: cold AC, excellent shower pressure, and comfortable beds with nice pillow toppers. For Sierra adventures, this little motel is just right. Highly recommend it, even if it's not fancy.

I was braced for a bad motel after reading the reviews for other nearby places, with all the mentions of dirt, pests, and poor conditions. This one caught me off guard in a good way. The room was simple, but everything was in great shape, and the place was clean and comfortable. For the price, I couldn't believe how good it was compared with the competition around here. It's no luxury resort, but it does what a good motel should and makes you feel welcome. If you want an affordable, decent place to stay around here, this is a great choice.
