Starlight Motel

This is a family-run place, and they welcomed us with water and a little fruit basket at check-in. Our room was spacious and clean, with good AC and a fridge, and the whole property was super clean. There's also a very nice patio deck beside the parking lot, with tables and chairs.

Big Pine is such a quiet, peaceful place to unwind, enjoy nature, and get away from everyday noise. Starlight Motel fits right in, with a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. The owners go above and beyond, and their warm, genuine hospitality and attention to detail made for some of the best customer service we've experienced. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend Starlight Motel to anyone visiting Big Pine.

The rooms are simple, clean, and have comfortable beds. I also liked the assigned parking, outdoor fire pit with benches, and Lucky the chicken, the unofficial mascot. Staff were attentive and happy to share tips about local restaurants and attractions. It's a small town, so that local knowledge made the trip more fun. It's a no-frills motel in the Eastern Sierras, with gorgeous mountain views right outside. You can also get on the road and visit Mammoth Lakes or any of the many hiking spots.

A perfect place to stop on the way to lone pine. The family-owned motel has a friendly, family-like feel, so it was a pleasant surprise after the big chains. The staff were extremely kind and gave us a fruit basket and my son cookies. There's a deck with a grill and, out back, a station for cleaning fish. The place is clean, and the closet has extra blankets. There's even a little basket of disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste if you forget yours. I'd definitely stay again.
