The staff were nice, and it stayed peaceful and quiet. The dogs were kept quiet by their owners, and parents kept their kids from running in the halls. The room was perfect except for the bed, which I found really uncomfortable, especially since I was exhausted. Breakfast was decent, though the yogurt was expired. I made up for it with extra bacon, so I’ll be walking that off for a week.

Room 420 had a layout I liked, with enough space that I never felt cramped. I hardly heard any noise from people or doors. The shower pressure wasn’t very strong, but it got the job done. I was happy with the stay and would come back.

The room was spacious, and the beds were just okay. For a night’s stay, it was a nice place, and I don’t have any other complaints.

Angel was a big help with technical information and a BBQ suggestion. The indoor saltwater pool was a warm 88 degrees, maybe a bit too warm, but we had it all to ourselves and enjoyed it. The room was clean and quiet in this older Hampton I&S, which is in a good location. Muddy boots kept making a mess of the entrance and hallway, though there wasn’t much the hotel could do about that. One pet peeve: a kiddie commode in a king room. I’m too old for that.

Right off I-20, it’s an easy place for travelers to stop for the night. The staff were so polite and welcoming, they made me feel like I’d been staying there for ages. I love this place and will definitely come back.
