The staff were really friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. We were just passing through for the night and usually look for budget hotels on trips like this. This one would probably make my top five in that category. It’s right off the interstate, with a truck stop, gas station, and restaurant next door. I’d absolutely stay here again when I’m passing through.

The clean room and comfortable bed were nice. The pillows were set up in a way I’d never seen before, standing on their edges like dominoes ready to fall. My only complaints were that there wasn’t breakfast and the coffee hadn’t been put out yet.

I paid almost nothing through Expedia, and this was the cleanest Motel 6 I’ve ever stayed in, no exaggeration. The appliances were well kept and dust-free, and maintenance deserves five stars. Guest service was great too. The gentleman at the front desk was super pleasant. I’d stay again if I travel this way.

I lost the use of my car and Uhaul trailer while moving across the country, and needed to catch a flight to N. Platte for a job interview a few days later. Mark, the General Manager, offered to drive me an hour and a half to the airport so I could make my flight on time. He also let me leave all my belongings at the hotel for free and offered to ship them once I’d settled in. He wouldn’t accept any payment for his time or expenses. Calling him a Good Samaritan doesn’t do it justice, he was an exceptional one. People can call themselves Christians, but Mark showed it through his actions. He was like Christ’s hands and feet to me. Thank you, Mark, for your kindness and selfless help. He’s truly extraordinary.

The tub wouldn’t drain, and when my daughter reported it, the front desk clerk asked if she wanted a snake to clear it. She ended up using an upstairs room to shower, since we were too tired from driving all day to move our things to one of the remaining rooms up there. In the morning, I found our body soap hadn’t been returned, so I went to ask for a key. I told the man at the desk about the drain and the other room. Instead of apologizing, he asked whether my daughter had cleaned the shower after using it. She’d left it as she found it, and it looked unused when I went in for the soap. The nerve of asking customers to clear a drain or clean a bathroom when the room wasn’t in working order. Neither clerk apologized about the shower. The room was freezing when we arrived, around 60 degrees, and dirty along the edges. The building, inside and out, wasn’t well maintained. The towel rack fell off on one end when I reached for a towel because it was just resting on the bracket. I tried calling the front desk about the plumbing and got no answer, so my daughter had to go down and ring the bell several times before someone came out. The shower was disgusting, and the toilet didn’t look clean either, though I couldn’t tell if it was dirty or had mineral buildup. We only stayed one night, and I won’t go back to this Motel 6. This is apparently the new normal for customer service, and it’s sad. I should’ve taken pictures, but didn’t think of it at the time.
