The breakfast alone made the room feel worth the price, and Megan was a wonderful local guide. Everything was spotless, comfortable, peaceful, and beautiful, with snow all around making the place feel almost unreal in winter. I only review places I think deserve five stars or one, and this one raised my idea of what five stars means. The coffee was the best I've ever had. I'll be back, and I won't look anywhere else. Highly recommend!

Megan, the proprietor, was friendly, helpful, and full of useful information, and I met some great fellow guests during my stays. I was in Swan Valley for Guide School and stayed here on weekends, trying two different rooms. Both were cozy, comfortable, and immaculate, just like the rest of the house. I really enjoyed my time there and would definitely stay again. I'd highly recommend it.

The Botanical room was a nice choice, right by the kitchen with quick access to the front porches. The rooms were comfortable, and the area was quiet and peaceful. The location is just south of aero lane, southeast of the local air strip. The laundry, though, seems to be out of order most of the time.

I had a really enjoyable stay in a clean, cheerful place that felt secluded and private. Breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were comfortable. Bigfork has plenty to see and do, and there’s a public airfield within walking distance. Its runway is well maintained, but there’s no fuel, which made for an unusual fly-in experience.

We came to Montana and Wyoming for Jellystone, Teton, and Glacier, but the part of the trip we keep talking about is the Candlewycke Inn. Megan was tuned in to both our wish for privacy and our interest in connecting with locals. We felt welcome right away, and somehow it also felt like we’d known her forever. We talked about everything from golf and politics to travel and gourmet food, and she’s quite the gourmet herself. The Inn was a highlight, with fine dining unlike anything else we found in the state. Who would have guessed Big Fork had such a lovely, well appointed Bed and Breakfast? We can't wait to return. It's a MUST stop on a Montana trip or a visit to Yellowstone or Glacier Parks.
