The room was otherwise great, and housekeeping came right away when I called to ask for them to clean the microwave. Even so, it shouldn’t have been left that way. There were greasy fingerprints and hair marks all over it, plus crusty food on the buttons. With my food allergies, I found that worrying, since I had no idea where the grease and residue had come from. The couch cushions were also extremely flat and well-used. Please replace them for future guests, and make sure the kitchen utensils are properly clean and sterilized. Those were my only two complaints.

The front desk staff were nice, but the room was in terrible shape. The couch had stains and hair, with Scotch tape used for “repairs,” so I refused to sit on it. The ottoman’s fake leather was shredded, as if it had been dragged behind a truck. The carpet was stained, the lamp shades had stains and holes, and the kitchen counter still had spilled coffee stains and hadn’t been cleaned. The area around the hotel felt sketchy, too. At these high rates, this property should be held to a much better standard. Avoid it unless you have pets that wreck hotel rooms, since they might not notice the difference.

The Home2Suites team made a difficult stay much easier. Jess helped me manage the uncertainty around how long we’d need to be there because of the complicated hospital situation. Her calm flexibility let me focus on my family member. Shae noticed what our family needed and brought extra towels without being asked, even though housekeeping was only scheduled every other day. Howard took real care with the modest breakfast, keeping everything clean, arranged thoughtfully, and restocked. The yogurt parfaits with fresh and frozen berries felt like a little luxury. We arrived after midnight following a winter storm across two states. A family member was in the ICU, and we were facing urgent medical decisions. Our stay ended with another storm on the drive home as they moved to a different level of care. The hotel became an unexpected basecamp during a heavy time. It was consistently neat, and our room gave us a comfortable place to rest, decompress, and sometimes work remotely. The beds and furniture were clearly well-used, but generally clean and comfortable. On the first morning, we reported some troubling stains in our room. The front desk apologized, said rooms were being updated, and offered to move us whenever it suited us. The replacement room was still worn but clean and comfortable. Each room had a table and chair that worked for email and light work. When we later found that the chair’s height adjustment was broken, they fixed it right away. I was very pleased with the value, kindness, and professionalism. Their service made a real difference while we were far from home.

The location felt uncomfortable to me, with all sorts of interesting people out and about, and I didn’t feel good about leaving anything in the car. Our first room smelled of dog and an older woman’s perfume. The staff were great when I asked to move us. The second room still didn’t smell very good, but I stayed in it. I can’t quite say why, but the place didn’t feel or smell clean. I know it’s pet-friendly, though I’ve stayed at other Home2 properties that were amazing.
