Motel 6 Biloxi, MS - Beach

The fire alarms woke us at 8 a.m. because someone was smoking weed in a non-smoking room, quite the alarm clock. I might stay again if I were desperate, but only because I didn't find actual bugs during our one-night stay. The room felt sticky and less clean than Motel 6 rooms usually do, though I saw no bed bugs or other bugs. One bedspread had a white crusty stain and something that looked like a dried booger, and the other bed had a few random black hairs. I didn't make a huge fuss over it since we were only there one night, but the beds were uncomfortable and need updating. I usually trust Motel 6 because it's a cheap chain and I don't expect much. Old furniture and a little rust on the pipes don't bother me. On the plus side, the staff were very sweet. I told the front desk woman that someone's pet had pooped down the hallway and in the elevator, and it was cleaned within five minutes. I feel for the employees when guests are so inconsiderate. Maybe some work and larger security deposits would help this location. The view is pretty, and you can walk right across to the ocean.

Our first room wasn't up to par, which was disappointing, but Wendy quickly fixed the problem and turned our stay around. She was kind, understanding, and genuinely concerned that we were comfortable. We left on a positive note and will definitely be back. Motel 6 is lucky to have her.

For a Motel 6, I'd give it 5/5. The room was clean, service was good, the shower worked well, and the price was very affordable. There's even a bottle opener in the bathroom, which is weird, but we used it. I'd stay again!

For this price, I was shocked at how clean and well maintained everything was, especially with the beach right across the street. I've been traveling along the coast and staying at places with the best rates. This is the cleanest, best staffed, best kept hotel I've been in for a long time. Whoever runs it has things together. I'd stay here even if I weren't pinching pennies. A real wow for Motel 6.
