South Beach Biloxi Hotel & Suites

Nicole and the South Beach staff were amazing. She went above and beyond for my husband and me on our anniversary and his birthday getaway. The room was amazing too, with spectacular sunset views. I highly recommend this hotel.

Samantha and Jennifer at the front desk made such a difference for us. Their help and customer service turned what was meant to be one night at South Beach Biloxi Hotel into the rest of our vacation, after we cancelled the next two nights at a nearby resort. We’ll definitely come back. Every suite has some kind of ocean view, and the outdoor balcony has a bar, seating, and a designated smoking area. The sunrise and sunset views over the water were heavenly. I believe this is Biloxi’s only truly oceanfront hotel. Other hotels may have ocean views, but they’re across the street.

My wife and daughter were left without a room late at night, and the way the staff spoke to them was awful. They were in Biloxi for a dance competition, while I was out of state with our other daughter. I’d booked the stay months ahead, as I usually handle our family reservations, and gave my wife the card used to book it. It had my name on it, which is normal for us since we use one card for travel and don’t usually travel separately. I called the hotel twice in the weeks before the stay and again when my wife left home for the three-and-a-half-hour drive. I said she’d arrive around 11 p.m. The reservation was under her name, and nobody mentioned that the card needed to be in her name or that we should complete an authorization form, something we’ve done before. The woman I spoke with was pleasant. She said she’d be on shift until 11, would wait for my wife and daughter, and thanked us for staying there before. My wife arrived around 11:15 p.m., by which time a different person was at the desk. The clerk refused to check her in because the card had my name. My wife called me on speaker, and the clerk talked down to her as though she’d stolen a card. I offered to fill out the authorization form, but the clerk said it wasn’t working and couldn’t be sent. She was rude to me too, then told my wife to find somewhere else to stay because she couldn’t help. It was already 11:30 p.m. I called the Hampton Inn across the street, where the woman who answered was helpful and walked me through making a reservation online and verifying things so my wife could check in with that card without me there. We travel often for our daughters’ dance and sports events and have never been treated this rudely at a hotel. Anyone going to Biloxi deserves better. The Hampton Inn and Hyatt across the street were much more pleasant to deal with. This hotel needs to teach its employees how to treat customers. Don’t stay here.

The lobby on the third floor is beautifully decorated, and everyone we met on staff was friendly. We also had plenty of parking, a pool, and a spot right on the beach. The rooms are huge, more like condo rentals, with kitchens. It’s our new favorite hotel on the coast and the best value we’ve found there. I took the first photo of the luggage carts downstairs. The second photo shows more carts too. For a place with around 100 rooms to have that many carts says a lot about its focus on customer service.
