The location was excellent, near the outlet mall and downtown Frankenmuth, and the room was just okay, nothing special. The beds were comfortable, the sheets clean, and breakfast was standard for this price. The TV guide and channel setup was odd and took a few minutes to figure out. It was our first stay, and the hotel felt pretty much 'meh', neither bad nor great. I chose it mainly for the hot tub, and that was the real letdown. The pool water seemed comfortable when we dipped our hands in, but the tub was cold. We called the desk while out and asked if they could raise the heat. The attendant acted like we were exaggerating and said it was always 102 degrees. We told her it definitely wasn't that warm when we tested it. She said she'd turn it up, but an hour later it was even colder. Other reviews suggest this has been going on, and the hotel needs to address it. I can't recommend calling ahead to check if it's working, since the attendant said it was working that night. If you just need a place to sleep and shower in the area, it's pretty decent for the price. Don't come expecting to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day. It was a big disappointment, and honestly I'd have paid a little more to stay somewhere with a working one.

The hotel is close to amenities, which was nice, and about 15 minutes from Frankenmuth. Our room, though, had a fine layer of drywall dust everywhere, so we couldn't run the heat without sending it into the air. I had to scrub paint drops out of the bathtub myself before I could bathe my toddler. Also, having the pool fully visible from the lobby is an odd choice, and not in a good way.

The breakfast buffet was horrible, and it was so busy that every table was full. The employees were nowhere to be found. Someone should stay near the guests when it's that crowded. Our room wasn't what I thought I'd paid for, which felt misleading. The pool room was horribly cold and made swimming no fun, even though swimming was the main reason for our stay. The hot tub was literally freezing, maybe only a couple degrees warmer than the pool. We probably swam for half an hour total.

The kids loved the pool, and breakfast was great. The attendant was very nice, kept refilling things, and checked on guests regularly. When we checked in on Dec 28, the front desk was wonderful and helpful. The lobby was beautifully decorated, and our room was clean and spacious. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

We held our annual Christmas party in the conference room, which was just the right size. The staff were polite and courteous, and the common areas were clean and well monitored. I'd give this place 10/10 for small gatherings.
