A romantic, eclectic little stay that seems best for an active individual or couple, especially if you like artsy, eccentric places and traveling independently. I stayed one night in a private room that shared a bathroom with two other rooms. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. Some rooms have their own bathroom, while others share one. There’s a shared kitchen with a big fridge, sink, dining table, chairs, and a few kitchen items, though the selection is limited. Everything was well maintained. If you borrow something from the kitchen, you’re responsible for washing it before use. This isn’t a place with 24/7 concierge service, but the staff were more attentive and accommodating than I expected. Be sure to ask ahead if you need extra towels or blankets.

The location is good and the concept is super cute, and the bed and pillows were comfy. The art was nice too. But at almost $400 a night, refilled Monday Brand shampoo and conditioner bottles are unacceptable and gross. It’s a drugstore brand, and who knows what they’re refilling them with. The rooms are lovely, except for the scuzz, which you can avoid seeing if you don’t look. The attitude wasn’t welcoming either. Making guests feel welcome wouldn’t make anyone look less cool. Don’t count on parking. I don’t recommend this stay.

A great artsy spot in an amazing location, with comfortable beds. The shared bathroom stays clean, and the water gets hot with great shower pressure. I’ll definitely stay here again!

The location was the only real plus. I liked the quirky feel, but the place was dirty and poorly maintained. My room’s dresser was full of trash and someone else’s things. The bedroom closet had two hangers, an old briefcase, and tools, while the mail closet was packed with construction debris. We went a whole week without hot water, and it still wasn’t fixed after three plumber visits. The kitchenette had dishes, but nothing was sanitized, as a small, easy-to-miss sign on the counter mentioned. The pots, pans, and dishes were dirty, and the outlets worked only some of the time. I’d skip the charm and find another hotel in town.

The biggest problem was having no hot water for our entire five-night stay. The proprietor, Rachel, would call a plumber and say it was fixed, but each time we tried to shower, there was still no hot water. This went on day after day. She didn’t offer to move us to another room or refund us so we could move hotels. A water heater doesn’t cost much and takes only a couple of hours to install, yet that wasn’t done. She offered only a partial discount. We were very patient and would have accepted 50% off what we paid, but she refused. Providing a warm, safe room with hot water was her contractual duty, and she failed to do so. After five days without hot water, I think she should have refunded all our money. We also found the parking messy. There’s a lot behind the hotel for guests, but no sign saying it was for guests only, so day visitors filled it several times. We had to park elsewhere and walk down a dark alley to get into the building. The kitchen was not clean. Greasy white film covered the pots and pans, and we had to wash the cups, dishes, and silverware before using them. The sponge looked months old, and there were no ice trays in the freezer. One bedroom’s dresser had trash, old bits of foil, and debris in every drawer. The suite closet was stuffed with ladders, tarps, old paint cans, and construction supplies. The overhead light in one bedroom didn’t work. A friend and I stayed in this two-bedroom, one-bath unit with a kitchen while attending a painting workshop in Bisbee. The hotel was in a good location, but it was poorly managed and not very clean. I’d never stay here again.
